We find ourselves in an unprecedented situation which we had little time to prepare for. I hope that you are all well and taking care of yourselves. We have all found ourselves refocusing on what is important in our own personal lives.
As teachers we realise that these days are difficult and we want parents and guardians to know that the lesson plans we put forward in the coming weeks are not compulsory, they are guidelines for you to follow in whatever way suits you and your family. We have done our best to compile a list of work and activities that should keep their bodies and minds busy should you choose to follow them.
We continue to monitor Department of Education and Skills announcements regarding re-opening of schools. We have set out each class group suggestions and a list of online resources should you wish to assign further work.
I believe our priority and focus over the coming weeks, and possibly months, should be to keep everyone safe and happy. I feel that the children need to be worry free, happy and creative, not stressed. There is enough for all of us to be concerned about in our family lives without adding more.
There will be work posted on our school website that will bring us up to the Easter Holidays. Parents can decide whether they will take a break from school work at their own discretion.
Take care and look after each other
